Outdoor pizza ovens

Outdoor Pizza Oven Installation

Few things gather people like a pizza oven. We install wood-fired and gas pizza ovens as standalone features or as part of an outdoor kitchen, with the base, surround and clearances done properly.

Overview

A gathering point with real fire.

Outdoor pizza ovens range from countertop units to fully built-in masonry-style ovens with stone or stucco surrounds. Beyond pizza, they’re great for bread, roasted vegetables and slow-cooked dishes.

Built-in ovens are heavy and generate intense heat, so the base, insulation, clearances, chimney and flue all need to follow the manufacturer’s instructions and local requirements. We plan ovens alongside outdoor kitchens and BBQ islands so the whole cooking space works together.

Planning & installation

Planning for heat and safety.

Weight and base. Built-in ovens can be very heavy and need a solid, properly designed base.

Clearances and chimneys. Follow manufacturer clearance and flue requirements, especially under covered structures.

Local rules. Wood-burning appliances can be subject to air quality and fire regulations in some areas and on certain days. Check current rules before choosing wood-fired.

Gas. Gas ovens require connections by a licensed professional and typically a permit.
